2-3 farmers produce the Ord River Borlotti Beans each season keeping the line fresh and the seed colourful. Production is not over produced to ensure the quality is kept fresh. Borlotti Beans are difficult seeds to harvest because of the vine grows up and then falls over with the weight and crawls alone the ground. Therefore forced the development of new harvesting techniques to gathering and harvesting the Bean at the premium moisture content to avoid splitting the delicate seed.
